Goshen Historic Track is proud to host the second annual Dog Day Derby on Sunday, July 10. The event, sponsored by the Windy Hollow Hunt Club, features canine high jumping and open dog races

.

Open to the public, the Dog Day Derby begins with registration at 10 a.m., an all-breed parade at 10:30 a.m., and the competitions slated for 11 a.m. All canine breeds and dog owners are welcome to attend. Free admission for kids ages 12, all others ages 13 and up pay just $5 to get in. Dogs get in free but must be on a leash at all times. Entry into the dog races and dog jumping events are open to all dog entrants for a pay-one-price of $20 for all events, which also includes a look-alike contest, best dressed, cutest dog, chase competition, and more.

Last year’s event was a howling good time and a tail-wagging success. This year Goshen expects more fun and more dogs to compete for fabulous prizes to be awarded for costumes and doggie events. The event will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m., with an on-site concession area next to the grandstand.
