Americana Nights returns to Hawthorne Race Course on Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15 with live harness racing starting at 7:10 p.m. This two day, family-friendly festival features something for racing fans of all ages including: live music, trackside BBQ, craft beer specials, celebrity racing, gate giveaways, wiener dog races, meet and greet with celebrity horses, and more.
Along with the family fun, fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with a celebrity horse or cheer on their favourite wiener dog, in support of two worthwhile charities: the American Standardbred Adoption Program and West Burb Wieners.
"We launched Americana Nights last year, and our fans had so much fun we planned an even bigger event this year," said Hawthorne Race Course President and General Manager Tim Carey. "Aside from the always exciting live harness racing, this event really has something that the entire family will enjoy from face painting to hayrides to the always entertaining Wiener Dog Races."
