Le Fugueur won Thursday’s featured event at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The time of the mile was 1:59.2 over a track rated ‘good’ with a two-second allowance after heavy rain early in the day.

Mike Stevenson used rail control to his advantage by sending the Jennifer Trainer-owned pacer to the front en route to the in gate-to-wire victory. Le Fugueur held off a late-charging Last Art on Deck for second with War Cry Ranger finishing third. Darren Trainor is the winning trainer.

It was Stevenson’s fourth winner of the night. Stevenson and Metro Building Supplies have teamed up to raise money for Camp Gencheff in the Drive for Charity Event.

Brodie MacPhee and Gary Chappell had driving doubles on the night. MacPhee guided Anita Blossom to victory in the evening’s Trot class.
