A fresh crop of two-year-old trotting talent will take to the stage at Mohawk tonight in two $64,467 divisions of the Robert Stewart Stakes

.

Ruling Class, a daughter of Angus Hall from the stable of trainer John Bax, is the 6-5 morning line pick in the first of the two splits. She was a $40,000 yearling purchase at last fall’s Harrisburg Yearling Sale for owners Bob and David Anderson, Harry Locke and Bax’s Parkhill Stud Farm.

Also worth watching in this division is Keystone Ballerina, another Angus Hall filly. She is sent out by trainer John Kopas, who has given the youngster a pair of qualifying efforts. She is listed at 9-2 in the morning line.

Two Striking Sahbra fillies are favoured in the second Robert Stewart split.

Honest AS, a chestnut pupil of Anette Lorentzon, has qualified twice at The Meadowlands, and has been rated at 2-1, while Bob McIntosh’s homebred, Exquisitelycrafted, dominated in both of her baby races at Mohawk in June. She stepped home nearly eight lengths ahead of her compatriots in her second effort on June 22. She’s been assessed at 9-5 in the morning line.

The Robert Stewart Stakes divisions are scheduled go as races one and two on this evening’s card. Post time for the opener is 7:30 p.m.
