Jaydens Place looks like he's found a place he likes to compete as the nine-year-old pacing gelding hasn't lost since relocating to Quebec.

In his third start on the Quebec fair circuit, Jaydens Place emerged victorious in the $6,000 Derby De La Baie Final at Nouvelle on Saturday (July 30) for trainer / driver Michel Audet. And he had to wear down a solid competitor to claim victory.

Mickeymaksomespeed, a regular Preferred entrant at Hippodrome 3R, cut fractions of :28.2, :57.1 and 1:26.2 for driver Michel Allard but Jaydens Place was on the move first up and challenging. Jaydens Place was able to collar the pacesetter by the head of the stretch and motored home three lengths to the good, with the mile timed in 1:56.2.

Jaydens Place (Vintage Master - Victorias Place) is owned by Francois Morin of Beauceville, Que. The win was his sixth of the year and 20th lifetime, lifting his earnings to $241,449 in the process.

Charles, Daniel and Maxim Gaudreault's Spectrum Seelster won the $3,000 Derby De La Baie Consolation in 1:58.4, with Maxim driving for trainer Charles.
