On Wednesday afternoon (July 31) at Monticello Raceway, driver Patrick Beeler teamed up with a pair of winners sent off at odds of 30-1 or longer on the 10-race program.
In the afternoon's third race, Beeler teamed up with Local Art for a 1:59.1 score from off the pace. The Joseph Beagell traainee retired $67.50 to win as the second longest shot on the board.
He outdid himself with Justa Rebel in the fifth race, posting a 2:01.4 victory with the William Mintz trainee that returned $75.50 to win while also the second longest shot on the board. It was the second seasonal win for the 13-year-old Valley Victor gelding.
Beeler accounted for two more driving wins on the card, prevailing with 10-year-old trotting veteran Mr Ridgetaker ($8.10) in the sixth race and with Hidden Identity ($16.20), one of two winners for trainer Dawn Devaux, in the eighth.
