Zeron Collects Five More Wins

Fresh off a four-win Friday night at Flamboro Downs, the track’s leading driver, Scott Zeron, added five more wins to his totals during Saturday afternoon’s program

.

Zeron kicked off the 11-race card with a win aboard 21-1 longshot Lauriesace ($45.50) for trainer Paul Taylor then went back-to-back in races two and three with Sedna ($3.40) for Terrance Newman and Cams Oak ($4.30) for Tony O’Sullivan. A pair of wins in races seven and eight with Kat Taurus ($3.60) for Marcel Bouvier and Typecast ($13.50) for Chantal Mitchell completed his five-bagger.

Having recorded 179 wins at Flamboro so far this year, 21-year-old Zeron ranks number one in the track’s drivers standings. The resident of Oakville, ON, who is in the middle of his fourth season on track, has already bested his 2009 win total and is closing in on his $2.1 million earnings mark. With 307 victories in 2010, he ranks second in the national standings.
