Forever Paradise Goes Coast To Coast

Forever Paradise was placed right on the point by driver Gilles Barrieau and went on to win the Thursday night feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park in a solid 1:55.3.

Forever Paradise chopped out fractions of :27.3, :57.4 and 1:26.3 before sprinting home in a :29-secone clip to win by a head over a late-charging The Big Bite. J RS Hurricane was third.

Barrieau did the driving for owners Reg MacPherson and David and Aaron MacKenzie. The pacer notched his seventh win of the campaign.

Lyndale Royal made it three victories in-a-row when he nailed the line in a swift 1:56.3. It was also the third winner of the night for driver Marc Campbell. The six-year-old is trained by Brent Campbell for his co-owner Neal Moase.

Other highlights on the card included Dunmore Chance (Jack Panting) and Majian Chester (James Ripley) won their respective assignments in the trot divisions.

Yankee No More, owned by Ernest Smith, Rocky Point and trainer Darren Smith, Cornwall, stopped the timer in 1:57.4 to get the pick 5 contest rolling while Tammysmist flashed great speed with a 1:58 performance for driver Ken Murphy, owner Ken Waite, Summerside and trainer Elton Miller.

Racing returns Saturday with first race post time set for 6 p.m.
