Regular WEG trainer Tony O’Sullivan has a busy weekend ahead of him at Mohawk Racetrack and south of the border at The Meadowlands

Dalhousie Dave has been entered into this Saturday’s Ontario Sire Stakes Gold eliminations at Mohawk Racetrack while stablemate Seriously will race in the Mistletoe Shalee elims at The Meadowlands this Saturday, as well.

Dalhousie Dave, who finished third in the Canadian Breeders Championship in his most recent start, will have Paul MacDonell handling the lines for the first time. He leaves from Post 6 in the second $40,000 OSS Gold elim for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings.

The son of Astreos-My Precious Katie has just eight lifetime starts but O’Sullivan has been pleased with his efforts so far.

“He raced well in his most recent start. He simply got out-paced. He paced in [1]:49.1, [1]49.2 got beat, quite sad," O’Sullivan told WEG’s media department.

“He came a long way in a short period of time; he’s not a big strong horse so I’m going to have to manage him,” he said.

Stablemate Seriously has drawn Post 3 in the second $25,000 Mistletoe Shalee elimination for driver Jody Jamieson.

The three-year-old daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Serious Smile finished third last week to Put On A Show in her division of the Tarport Hap and O’Sullivan is thankful he doesn’t have to face Put On A Show again this week.

“She’s [Put On A Show] is in a league all by herself. I think she [Seriously] can compete with them. Maybe she’s not versatile enough to really beat them but I think she has enough speed to make a good account of herself,” O’Sullivan stated.

Seriously is a half-sister to Blissful Smile, who has banked over $557,678 for O’Sullivan and owner-breeder Emerald Highlands Farm of Mount Vernon, Ohia.

O’Sullivan also provided the latest update on three-year-old trotter Dontgetinhisway. The son of Striking Sahbra-Sloppy Kisses also finished third in his Canadian Breeders Championship last Saturday at Mohawk Racetrack.

O’Sullivan said that Dontgetinhisway will get some much deserved time off.

“I’m going to give him a break. The next OSS Gold event is at Flamboro and then the Flamboro Breeders and I never intended to race him on a half. I’m going to give him some time off and get him freshened up for his last eight starts.”
