Jodie Cullen extended her leads atop the national and Grand River Raceway trainers’ standings with a triple on the 10-race Wednesday, July 29 card.
Finding My Way ($4.40) led things off for Team Cullen — Jodie and driver Travis, her son — as the two-year-old Cattlewash-Place At The Table gelding made a frontstretch move to the lead and fought off Bullfighter (Austin Sorrie) for the final three-eighths of a mile to win by a neck in 1:57. Finding My Way found the winner’s circle in his second career start for owners A1stable and Ron Cullen of Dundas, Ont., John Collings of Brudenell, P.E.I. and Blair Kidd of Miniota, Man.
The Jodie, Ron and Travis Cullen homebred Beach Wiggle ($2.50) maintained her red-hot form for those connections with a 3-3/4-length rout of conditioned claiming rivals in the sixth race. The three-year-old daughter of Sunshine Beach-Wiggle It J took a lifetime mark of 1:53.2 with her fourth consecutive victory and 10th win in 23 starts in her debut season.
Boothill Hudy ($3.60) scored in similar fashion against claiming competition, zooming away in the final quarter to win by 4-1/2 lengths in 1:53.3. The five-year-old son of Vintage Master-Prom Prom Miss, owned by A1stable, made his seasonal record four-for-14.
Jodie Cullen’s triple raised her 2026 total to 169 wins from 883 starts, which puts her 67 wins clear of Kyle Fellows in the national leaderboard. She also leads the country in earnings with $2.22 million. At Grand River, Cullen stretched her two-win lead over Luc Blais entering the card to five. She is ahead 15-11.
