There was a new winner in the top class at St. John's Racing and Entertainment Centre on Sunday afternoon after Inspired Art had dominated the first three Preferreds of the 2014 harness racing season.
Quickcam and rookie driver Danny Williams rallied home from off the pace to score an impressive 14-1/4 length victory in 2:03.2, upsetting at odds of 14-1. Fellow longshot Go With It (Frankie Joyce) finished second while favourite Inspired Art (Scott Forward), handicapped outside his five rivals, finished third in his first loss of the season.
Quickcam is a seven-year-old son of Quick Comeback, who is trained by his driver for Aubrey Williams.
The six-race Sunday card was dominated by Danny Williams, Kevin Dillion and Scott Forward, who each trained a pair of winners.
