Just six rookies were entered to compete in the second leg of the Dream Maker Pacing Series on Tuesday at Mohawk Racetrack, and All Summer Long had no problem disposing of the competition

.

After enduring traffic troubles and finishing fourth as the odds-on favourite in the opening leg of the series, driver Paul MacDonell mapped out a mistake-free trip for the Tim Pinske-trained son of Western Hanover-Sportstalk in Tuesday’s second leg assignment.

All Summer Long, who was sent off as the 1-5 choice, shot to immediate command and played a game of “catch me if you can” through fractions of :27.3, :57 and 1:25.4. He tacked on a :27.2 final frame to seal the deal in a career-best clocking of 1:53.1. Eighteen (Luc Ouellette) rallied to within 1-1/4 lengths of the winner, while Eat Your Art Out (Steve Condren) powered home in :26.4 to claim the show dough in the $20,000 tilt for two-year-old pacers.

Bred and owned by Pinske Stables of Plate, MN, All Summer Long improved his freshman record to 2-1-0 in four trips postward. He’ll look to add to his $23,800 bankroll in the $50,000 final, which is scheduled for Monday, August 2 at Mohawk Racetrack.
