Four-year-old pacing mare Double A Mint was a repeat winner in the regular Friday night feature for distaffers at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The win was actually the popular Richard Moreau trainee's third in a row, but second straight in the $30,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred class. It also completed a natural hat trick in the first three races of the night for driver Bob McClure.
Windsun Glory hustled to the lead from the outside post six through a :27.4 opening quarter before she was looped by Double A Mint during the second panel.
The 7-5 favourite reached the half in :55.3 with Cousin Mary tipping out from third and advancing to gain a brief lead in the turn.
However, Double A Mint fought back as they raced by three-quarters in 1:23.3 and, despite drifting out towards the middle of the track in the stretch, she held on to score by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:50 flat.
Windsun Glory held off a wall of late closers to finish second with Witch Dali getting the nod over Cousin Mary and Shower Play for third-place honours. Kendall Seelster completed the compact field.
Adriano Sorella owns the Bettors Delight-Double Creme mare, who won six in a row earlier this year and now boasts wins in half of her 20 seasonal starts with $182,800 in purse earnings.
