Boknows Momngranny took the top class at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon, earning his first victory of the season.
Driven by Greg Sparling, the 3-2 favourite took the lead past the half and opened up three lengths en route to a 2:00.2 triumph in the $1,100 feature. The final margin was one length as Silver Dragon and Gotfaithincowboys closed in down the stretch.
George Della Valle trains the eight-year-old Bo Knows Jate gelding for owner Thomas Hawco Jr. Sydney, N.S. Boknows Momngranny, a 26-time career winner, was making his sixth start of the season.
Edgar Jacobs has a training triple on the 11-race card, courtesy of the maiden-breaking sophomore colt Korean War Vet (Ryan Campbell), six-year-old pacer Camco Qready (John Kennedy), and five-year-old pacer J Jetstar (John Beaton).
