Driver Doug McNair kicked off the Sunday afternoon program at Clinton Raceway, and it proved to be a sign of
good things to come for the young reinsman.
McNair finished the matinee with five trips to victory lane, and that lifted his 2009 win total to 190 and his career total to 300.
Jadkyn Evelyn got the ball rolling for McNair thanks to her 2:05.1 score in the opener. The young reinsman returned to victory lane in the seventh race thanks to a coast-to-coast score with Spentacular in 2:02.3. Volcan Duharas completed McNair’s hat trick thanks to a 1:58.2 tally in the ninth race.
Back-to-back wins with Mar El Astros (2:03) in the eleventh race and Kendal Accolade (2:00.1) in the twelfth dash bumped up McNair’s daily win total to five.
The self-proclaimed McDonald’s junkie told Trot Insider he plans on hitting the drive thru and celebrating the feat with a Big Mac Happy Meal.
