Mohawk Preferred To Coco Lindy

The water got a little bit deeper in the Preferred Trot Monday at Mohawk Racetrack thanks to the addition of Coco Lindy to the class, and the U.S. shipper no mercy to his Canadian foes.

Scott Zeron wasted no time hustling Coco Lindy to the position of command, and the gelding led through panels of :27.4, :56.3 and 1:24.4 before sprinting home in :27.3 and winning in a career-best clocking of 1:52.2. E W Fisher shook loose late to grab the runner-up award, with race favourite Take My Picture settling for third.

Frank Antonacci trains the six-year-old son of Cantab Hall-Nutty Butty for Lindy Farms of Conn of Enfield, CT and Robert Rudolph of Vineland, NJ. It was the trotter’s third win of the season, and it was the 22nd of his career. The $17,000 payday bumped his lifetime cash stash to $357,492.
