On Tuesday (July 18), officials with the Little Brown Jug announced that the total purse for the 2023 edition of the race would be $1 million for the first time.
Thus, North American harness racing will have four million-dollar races in 2023 with the Jug joining the North America Cup, the Hambletonian, the Mohawk Million on the Grand Circuit stakes calendar.
