Jody Jamieson guided both winners in Tuesday’s opening leg of the Dream Maker Pacing Series for two-year-old colts and geldings at Mohawk

Racetrack. He won with heavily favoured Up The Credit in the first split while posting an upset victory with Rock To Glory in the second.

In the first $20,000 contest, Jamieson settled fourth early with Up The Credit and watched Stuck Up and Sylvain Filion put up the first fraction in :27.2. Up The Credit, making just his second career start, went on the attack in the second quarter and took over at the half in :56.4.

The son of Western Terror-Cantbuymehappiness faced pressure in the third quarter when Big Jim came up alongside at that marker in 1:25.2. The top pair then hooked up in a wicked final-quarter sprint with Up The Credit needing a :26.2 final quarter to repel the challenge.

The eye-catching final time of 1:51.4 was a new mark for Up The Credit who had won his career debut on July 10 at Buffalo Raceway in a division of the New York Sires Stakes in 1:57. The eye-catching performance also makes him the fastest two-year-old in North America this season. He is co-owned by trainer Carl Jamieson along with Thomas Kyron and Joanne Morrison of Ontario and Brian Paquet of Quebec.

Up The Credit returned a popular $2.70 in the victory.

Jamieson used a different approach in the second division with Rock To Glory who followed cover to the top of the stretch before tipping out late and going on to win in 1:52.4. The son of Rocknroll Hanover - Faded Glory kicked in a :27.3 final frame to turn back favourite All Summer Long with pacesetter Eighteen holding on for third.

The winner kicked back a generous $17.30 for the win.

Rock To Glory won his Mohawk debut last week in similar fashion in an overnight contest for trainer Rebecca Titus and owners Gail and Robert Sanders and Donald Jennings of Illinois.

The second leg of the Dream Maker Pacing Series will go postward next Tuesday night at Mohawk.
