Grand River Raceway’s first-ever Mutt Show, originally scheduled for July 6, has been postponed due to a lack of entries.
The new date is Sunday, October 26 and the new pricing is as follows: Registration is $10/dog and $5/class.
The October 26 event runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be staged in the race paddock at Grand River Raceway. The show is open to dogs of all breeds, mixed breeds and sizes.
There are a variety of classes to choose from and opportunity for the whole family to get involved.
Some classes include:
- “Leave it!!” (Bring your favourite toy and last man standing wins)
- Tough MUTTer (Fastest time through agility course)
- Best Catch (Whether it’s a ball or Frisbee, show us your most creative catch)
- Costume Class (dress-up your pooch)
Other fun activities include portraits of each participant, ribbons for the Top 5 in each class and the crowning of Mr. & Mrs. Mutt.
