On Sunday, July 17, Ontario Lottery and Gaming workers at Woodbine Racetrack and Sudbury Downs ratified new four-year contracts

A report by The Sudbury Star has quoted Mine Mill Local 598 President Richard Paquin, who represents the Sudbury workers, as saying, "It is a very good contract. The workers are very happy."
Paquin was also quoted as saying, "This is my 12th consecutive contract I was able to ratify successfully and I would rate it as one of the toughest to bargain. They held on to their issues until the very last minute, basically," and that, "there are no concessions whatsoever, only improvements."
The article explains that the new contract is effective June 1 and will expire on May 31, 2015.
