With Gerry Hudon at the controls, Neal Diamonique led through intervals of :27.2, :57 and 1:25.2 before firing home in :27.2 to secure the one-length score over Trust the Artist. Race favourite Clintons Escape tagged along to finish third.

Lance Ward trains the six-year-old son of Real Desire-Diamonique Mindale for Edward Dhoedt of Edmonton and Ernest Greenwood of St. Albert, AB. The victory was his fifth of the season from 15 attempts, and it was the 26th of his career. The campaigner has stashed away in excess of $370,000 to date.

It turned out to be a solid Monday at the office for trainer/driver Rod Hennessy, who made three trips to victory lane with starters from his barn.

Hennessy rallied Mood Light to a 1:55.4 triumph in Race 4 before tacking on wins with Barona Ferrari (1:54.3) in Race 6 and Just Saucy (1:58.2) in Race 10.

Starters sent out by Hennessy have banked more than $111,000 this season and more than $12 million to date.
