While fans may have been uncertain of Desperatehousewife sending her to post as the fourth betting choice in the featured $15,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Trot Saturday night at Georgian Downs, the seven-year-old Jonathan Lobell mare put those reservations to rest with a dominating six and three-quarter length score

.

Apeachtoremember (Anthony MacDonald) established the early lead in front of Saqqara Dream (Stephen Byron), but the pocket sitter swept up to take the lead past the opening quarter in :28.3. Canaco Runner (Scott Coulter) applied pressure to the half in :57 and dueled for the top spot en route to three-quarters in 1:26.4. At that point, driver Todd Ratchford angled Desperatehousewife to the far outside from fourth and the bay used a :30-second final frame to demolish her rivals in 1:57.

Jtlady Strong (Jonathan Drury) and Ziggy Wiggy (Bill O’Donnell) finished second and third.

Jean MacDonell trains and owns the winner of 37 races and $283,484 with Wayne Corini of Rockville, Maryland and Scott Jaconetty of San Jose, California. The win was Desperatehousewife’s fourth of the season in 14 starts pushing her earnings to over $42,000.
