Dancer Hall Dominates At Mohawk

Paul Reid trainee and odds-on favourite Dancer Hall brushed to the front past the quarter and strolled to a 1:52.4 victory in the $34,000 Preferred Trot on Tuesday, July 17 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Buzz brushed to the lead before the quarter, yielding to Free Willy Hanover in :28.3 while Dancer Hall tracked second over. Driver Sylvain Filion took control with Dancer Hall heading to the half and began to draw away through splits of :56.3 and 1:25 with Free Willy Hanover chasing in second and Dream Together advancing first over.

Dancer Hall held a four-length lead at the head of the stretch as Dream Together took second from Free Willy Hanover chasing in third. B Yoyo, last rounding the final turn, rallied for fourth.

A four-year-old son of Deweycheatumnhowe out of the Amigo Hall mare Daylon Mystique, Dancer Hall won his sixth race in 10 starts and his 14th in 33 overall, earning $210,150. The $2.70 winner competes for owner 1187422 Ontario Inc.
