According to a story on the website of WBAL AM 1090 in Maryland, a ruling by a federal judge on Thursday, July 16 has denied a Rosecroft Raceway request for a temporary restraining order against the thoroughbred racing industry in the state in regard to thoroughbred simulcasting issues.
Cloverleaf Enterprises Inc., the bankrupt owner of Rosecroft Raceway, is suing the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association, the Maryland Jockey Club and 15 other defendants for interfering with Rosecroft’s simulcast agreement with tracks owned and operated by Churchill and Magna. The lawsuit is for $20 million.
