The Governor's Plate for free-for-allers will be the feature of the Saturday night (July 18) card of racing at Summerside Raceway as part of Lobster Carnival Week.
An eight-horse field will assemble for Race 14 and chase a $16,000 purse. The race will feature standouts such as Outlawpositivcharg (PP4, T. Gallant, 5-2), Porthill Alf (PP2, M. Stevenson, 7-2) and Astronomical (PP3, K. Arsenault, 3-1).

The $5,000 Governor's Plate consolation will be taking place earlier in the day at Summerside, and has been slated as Race 12 on the afternoon card. Five-year-old Life Sign horse St Pete Star (PP2, D. Romo, 5-2) has been installed as the morning line choice.
