Supreme Rockette trotted into the history books in P.E.I. Colt Stakes action on Tuesday, July 15 at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway, crushing the track record for a sophomore trotting filly.

Gilles Barrieau drove Supreme Rockette ($4.90) in her $19,310 P.E.I. Colt Stakes division for three-year-old trotting distaffs, sending her to overtake early leader Majian Mystery (Jim Ripley) at the :29.2 opening quarter. Command was short lived for Supreme Rockette as fellow Mike McGuigan trainee Oceanview Nikki (McGuigan) came first-over to take over at the half-mile marker in :58.4. Three-quarters was reached in 1:29 before the daughters of E L Rocket, well clear of the rest, battled in the stretch drive with Supreme Rockette grinding down her rival to win by a neck in 1:58.3. Majian Mystery finished third.

Jamie Whalen of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. bred and owns the winning filly, who recorded her first win of the year in five starts. Supreme Rockette, out of Supreme Monarch, is five-for-16 lifetime. She erased the former three-year-old trotting filly track record of 1:59.3 held by Defriended.

Hallysgurl ($2.10) won the $18,980 P.E.I. Colt Stakes two-year-old filly trot division with Barrieau in the seat for trainer Darryl MacLean and owner/breeders Calvin Larkin of Mermaid P.E.I. and Erika Bradley of Charlottetown, P.E.I. The Muscle Mass-Incredible Hally filly led through every call of :30.3, 1:02.1, and 1:33.1, cruising to the finish to win her debut by four lengths in 2:03.1. Dusty Lane Margo (Jason Hughes) was second with Bonmati (Marc Campbell) third.

Bless Me Father ($2.30) stayed undefeated in four starts in 2025 as he won his $19,310 P.E.I. Colt Stakes three-year-old trotting colt assignment with a 1:58.2 performance for owner-trainer Donna Van Meer of Mount Herbert, P.E.I. Sitting third through early fractions of :29.2 and :58.3, he went to the top before three-quarters in 1:29 and went on to win by 2-1/2 lengths over West River Jet (Ken MacDonald), with Dusty Lane Gus (Ryan Desroche) completing the triactor. The winning Father Patrick-My Angel Heart gelding has won seven of 11 career outings and is on a five-race win streak, dating back to his final start of last year.

Corey MacPherson steered Little Louis ($3.30) to a dominant maiden-breaking victory in the $18,980 P.E.I. Colt Stakes for two-year-old colt trotters. Little Louis got every call with sectionals of :30.1, 1:01.3, and 1:32.4, winning by 5-1/2 lengths in 2:02.2 over Big Rig (McGuigan) and West River Karuna (MacDonald). East Coast Captains of Cornwall, P.E.I. owns the homebred gelding by E L Rocket-Go With Her with Kuri White assigned the training duties. He is one-for-two lifetime.

Barrieau and Marc Campbell both had four driving wins on the 11-race Tuesday program.

Live racing continues on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at Red Shores Summerside, featuring the P.E.I. Colt Stakes for two-year-old pacing colts.
