It’s safe to say that it was officially the Bruce Richardson Show on Saturday, July 15 at Hanover Raceway, as the pilot made trips to the winner’s circle after five of the dashes on the 10-race program.

Richardson didn’t waste any time in racking up his first win of the day, as he made a trip to the winner’s circle after the first race with the Larry Hall-trained Sauble Ashley ($3.40). The four-year-old L H Stryker mare started from Post 1 and paced to a gate-to-wire, 1:56.2 mile. The mare’s margin of victory was a half-length.

Lis Deo ($8.70) was Richardson’s second winner on the program, as the 12-year-old son of the The Panderosa recorded a first-over win in Race 3 for trainer Rebecca Geisel. After having started from Post 4, Lis Deo came first-up in the second panel and grinded his way to a neck victory in 1:59.2. The win was the thirty-fifth of Lis Deo’s career.

Richardson was right back at his winning ways in Race 4, as he steered the favoured Demachracy ($7.30) to a well measured score for trainer Bud Sinclair. After having started from the rail, Richardson and the Mach Three five-year-old chopped out all of the speed and hit the wire in 1:58, one and a quarter lengths the best.

The Bruce Richardson Show continued in Race 6, as the odds-on Brodys Scrapper ($2.90) was a front-end winner for trainer Bud Sinclair in 1:58.2. The six-year-old Mach Three gelding started from Post 3 and wasn’t headed before finishing two lengths the best.

Win No. 5 for Richardson came in Race 8, as Santana Sass ($4.60) proved the best in a 1:59.1 mile. The Randy Jarvis trainee raced well for his backers, as the Santanna Blue Chip gelding cut all the fractions and posted a head win.
