Atomic Million Am not only notched his maiden-breaking victory at Hippodrome 3R on Tuesday night, he did so in style by etching his name in the track's record books.

Sylvain Lacaille patiently sat third through the first seven-eighths of the race, allowing New Cam Dollar (Pascal Berube) to carve out splits of :28.3, :58.3, and 1:29. Atomic Million Am was unleashed late in the mile and closed with a :30.4 final quarter to hit the wire a length and a half to the good over pacesetter New Cam Dollar in a time of 2:00.1.

With the win, Atomic Million Am matched the two-year-old pacing gelding mark at 3R that was previously set by Machmetothemoon in 2012.

A homebred owned and trained by Alain Martin of Gatineau, Qc., Atomic Million Am now boasts one win from two lifetime starts.
