Three-year-old pacing fillies found themselves in the spotlight at the Deloraine Fair in Manitoba on Saturday, as the half-mile oval hosted three divisions of the Lady Crocus Stake.

The $4,409 opening contest went to Logicallyinclined, who rallied for a narrow score over a track rated “slow” with a four-second variant. Roland Rey mapped out the winning trip for the daughter of Shark Gesture-Artisticlyinclined, who prevailed by a half-length margin over Tackroom Tina. Third prize was earned by Classy Locomotion.

Arthur Rey of St. Claude, MB owns and trains the youngster, who improved her record to 2-0-1 from four trips to the track. She’s banked just over $3,000 along the way.

Heart For You also used come-from-behind tactics to take home top prize in her $4,409 assignment. The One Big Buster-Andrea Cole Lynn miss got up to win by a length for trainer/driver Cory Manning in 2:11.1. Clintons Desire was next best, with Moving Gesture taking home the show dough.

Manning shares ownership on the homebred with Deanna Manning of Belmont, MB, and together they’ve watched the filly put together a 2-0-1 record this season from four trips postward. The career winner of just over $7,000 is now 3-for-14 to date.

Dashin On By splish-splashed her way to a 2:09.1 triumph in front-stepping fashion for trainer/driver Dean Rey. The daughter of Lis Mara-Just Passin Thru sliced out splits of :32, 1:04.3 and 1:37.1 in the $4,409 affair before using a :32-second final frame to prevail by a nose over Ice Angel. The show dough went to Notch Yer Princess.
