Former O'Brien Award winner Duly Resolved ($4.50) and driver Tyler Miller led gate-to-wire in the $21,918 Open Handicap Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday, July 13.
Duly Resolved just about pushed the gate open and went right to the front in a :28 quarter. Miller rated a :29.2 second quarter for the favourite to be first to the half in :57.2 then picked up the tempo to three-quarters in 1:25.1 and cruised home a 1-1/2-length winner in 1:55 flat. The pocket-sitting Makadushin N Cheez (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) was second best and Heavens Pic (Aaron Byron) finished third.
