Docs Boo Boo, the only trotter sired by Downbytheseaside, won for the second time this year in the Buckeye Stallion Series as she opened the fourth leg for three-year-old filly trotters Friday night (July 14) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
In the first of three $20,000 divisions, Docs Boo Boo with Jeff Nisonger took the pocket trip through the first three-quarters, took the lead around the final turn, and opened up to win by three lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:54.1. The Downbytheseaside filly has hit the board in seven of her eight starts this year, winning five. Trained by Mark Winters and owned by Jr Stables, Docs Boo Boo raised her career earnings to $154,570.
OU Stacey finished second with Coupe Deville third.
In the second division, Waddupgee turned in a dominant performance, going gate-to-wire to win by eight lengths. Aaron Merriman raced the daughter of Triumphant Caviar to the lead and never looked back winning in 1:551, a new lifetime mark. It was the second win in nine starts for Waddupgee who has hit the board eight times this year. Waddupgee raised her lifetime earnings to $62,965 for Chris Beaver who trains and co-owns Waddupgee with Steve Zeehandelar.
Passionate Promise was second with Ilikeitinthedark third.
In the final division, Pariso and Kayne Kauffman were sixth at the three-quarter pole, moved three-wide around the final turn, and reeled in the leader mid-stretch to win by a length in 1:55.3. It was the fifth win in 10 starts this year for the daughter of Creatine. Dalton Walls trains and co-owns Pariso with Bruce Soulsby, and Alan Weisenberg. With the win Pariso raised her career earnings to $85,501.
Peakaboo Lou was second with A Long Dream third.
Buckeye Stallion Series action continues Sunday (July 16) at MGM Northfield Park with the second leg for two-year-old pacing fillies.
