Officials with the Woodbine Entertainment Group have announced that a single winning ticket correctly selected the top five finishers in Monday night’s final race at Mohawk Racetrack to haul down the Jackpot Hi-5 wager.
The successful handicapper scored a $25,910.30 return on the Jackpot Hi-5 wager.
The horseplayer that hit the ‘Jackpot’ Monday made 11 unique 20-cent straight wagers on the Jackpot Hi-5, with one of them selecting the correct combination.
The winning horseplayer, who resides in Hamilton, Ont., made the wagers through Horseplayer Interactive Mobile.
Fashion Maven at odds of 9-2 won the Jackpot Hi-5 race, while Wildcat Lightning, the 8-5 post time favourite, finished fourth.

3rd. #9 Kona Kid – 25-1

The entire Jackpot Hi-5 pool and carryover is only paid out when there is a single winning ticket with the correct combination. If there are multiple winning tickets, half of the evening’s pool is paid out to the winners, while the other half is carried over to the following the card.
The Jackpot Hi-5 now starts from scratch Tuesday night at Mohawk.
