Established performers and those that aspire to future greatness were in action during a seven-dash set of qualifiers on Tuesday (July 13) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Returning to the qualifiers after a pair of recent miscues, Oney Hall showed solid late trot in the first dash of the morning. While GP Dreamin (Jody Jamieson) and Meadowbranch Noble (Scott Young) took turns on top through fractions of :28.1, :57.3 and 1:26.4, Oney Hall was positioned midpack but angled to the outside by driver Trevor Henry at the head of the lane. Trotting home in :27, Oney Hall was more than a length better than his rivals with the mile timed in 1:54.4. GP Dreamin came on for second over Meadowbranch Noble.

Trained by Bob McIntosh for owner Alan Leavitt of Lexington,Ky., Oney Hall (Deweycheatumnhowe - On With The Show) sports a seasonal summary of 2-2-2 from 13 starts with a mark of 1:51.4. He appears ready to tackle the upper conditioned and preferred ranks at Mohawk once again.

Tuesday's card also featured a quartet of baby races — with one three-year-old tacked on for good measure. Eternal Lee made a solid debut for her connections, taking the fastest trotting mile of the morning courtesy a gate-to-wire 2:00.4 score. Driven by J.B. Renaud for trainer Julie Walker, Eternal Lee (Southwind Frank - Charity Hall) is a homebred owned by Murray Ferguson Jr. of Sutton West, Ont.

On the pacing side, B My Sunshine showed bested her rivals in her second appearance of the season. Send to the front by trainer / driver Martin LaChance, B My Sunshine fronted the fiels through the opening set of fractions in :29 and 1:00.4 before yielding to pocket-popper Straight Talker (Doug McNair). Lachance angled his charge to the two path turning for home and his filly responded with a :28.1 closing quarter to best Straight Talker by two lengths in 1:57.3.

Owned by Lachance Racing Stable of Millstone Twp, N.J., Dragon Racing Inc. of Blainville, Que. and Dan Mogridge of Hillsdale, Ont., B My Sunshine (Sunshine Beach - Twin B Elite) was a $15,000 Harrisburg purchase last fall.
