Two freshman filly pacers kept their career records in mint condition on Wednesday evening as Summerside Raceway hosted another round of Atlantic Sires Stakes action during Lobster Carnival Week.

Top Brand ($6.70) journeyed first over and capitalized off a break in stride by the leading Lady Antebella and Mike Stevenson to win the first of three $8,880 'A' divisions in 2:04.4 for trainer-driver Danny Romo. She won by a length and a quarter over Tobins Mygirl and Brodie MacPhee. Lifeinthecountry and Marc Campbell finished third.

Top Brand is now a perfect two-for-two in her career having previously won a division of the Callbeck Stakes on July 1 at Summerside. The Brandons Cowboy-This Marks A Lady miss was purchased for $9,000 at the 2011 Atlantic Classic Yearling Sale by Thomas Hawco Jr. and Melissa Hawco of Sydney, N.S.

Carol Alice ($4.30) blasted to command from post six in the following division and went wire-to-wire to win in 2:01.4 with Clare MacDonald in tow. Skip The Exam and Campbell followed from the pocket to finish one and a half length behind in second while Lous Light and Jason Hughes rounded out the top three finishers.

The Brandons Cowboy-Keltic Sarah, also a Callbeck Stakes winner in her Canada Day career debut, is owned and trained by Doug Rankin of Sydney, N.S.

The final division was won by the maiden-breaking Howmacs Angel ($4.90) and Terry Gallant in 2:01.3. The Articulator-So Shy filly converted from the pocket in the stretch and edged by pacesetter Largomotion and Stevenson at the wire. Early trailer Lyndale Delite and Brodie MacPhee first a length and a quarter behind after advancing first over.

Howmacs Angel, a runner-up her only other start in the Callbeck Stakes, is owned and trained by Fred Paynter of Stanley Bridge, P.E.I.

Three $2,500 'B' divisions were won by Saulsbrook Maggie ($3.40) and trainer-driver George Rennison in 2:03.3; first-time starter Misssassy Attitude ($5.90) and Kenny Arsenault in 2:03.3 for trainer Ken Wilkie; and West River Xtra ($4.90) in 2:04 for trainer-driver Clare MacDonald.
