Whatever the outcome of the $60,000 final of the Town Pro Pacing Series at Mohawk Racetrack on Tuesday, it'll be the last start in a while for Rebeka Bayama

Quebec-based owner/trainer Yves Filion said he'll stop with the three-year-old after the race to keep her fresh for a late fall/winter campaign on the Woodbine Entertainment Group circuit.
"She has the talent to be an invite mare at four, five and six," said Filion.
The Quebec-bred filly has won five of nine career starts, including two $20,000 legs of the Town Pro series. Her last victory was in a career-best 1:52.3.
Rebeka Bayama’s sire is former Filion star Leader Bayama, a son of Artsplace that he sold to prominent owner Serge Godin while retaining 10 yearly breedings. The dam is Run The Table mare Joyce Bayama, who previously gave him Quebec Sires Stakes star Omega Bayama.
"When she won her second start last year at Rideau in 1:59.4, with a final quarter in :28.3, I knew she had potential and turned her out right away. She did it so easy," Filion said.
He stopped her after that August start and didn't bring her back until April. She has four wins and a second in her last five races.
For the Town Pro final, she's drawn Post 7.
"The way she's racing, it'll take bad luck to beat her," Filion said.
