Truro Raceway has announced a multi-year agreement with Inglis Jewellers to be the new title sponsor of the Inglis Jewellers Diamond Classic for Atlantic-sired two-year-olds.
The slot buy-in race is set to debut on Nov. 5 with a division for fillies, who will be racing for the highest purse in Nova Scotia harness racing this season.
As part of the agreement, the winning owner of the race will receive a $2,500 diamond necklace courtesy of Inglis Jewellers in the winner's circle.
“We’re thrilled to come to an agreement with Inglis Jewellers on this arrangement," said Steve Fitzsimmons, Truro Raceway General Manager. "Their business and brand fit perfectly with the elegance and prestige that a diamond represents. They are leaders in their industry and have been incredibly successful for 30 years and have their flagship location in Truro. I’m looking forward to working with them.”
“Inglis Jewellers is honoured to be the title sponsor for the Diamond Classic race at Truro Raceway," said Inglis Jewellers owner Paul Clark. "As a local business operating out of downtown Truro, we know we wouldn’t be a front-runner in our industry without the support of our community and it gives us great pride to work with Truro Raceway and embark on a successful season.”
Inglis Jewellers has four locations in Truro, New Glasgow, Sydney and Riverview, and is available online at inglisjewellers.ca.
