'Dream On' Rebounds For Hat Trick

After suffering an early miscue, Kayla Habicht Walker's Dream On Dream On ($3.80) rebounded in the featured $1,150 winners-over pace on Wednesday (July 10) at Inverness Raceway, circling cover and pacing away to his third straight victory.

Ryan Campbell situated the eight-year-old If I Can Dream gelding behind the top pair of Makes Me Stupid (Andrew MacLean) and Windmeredontmatter (Lewis MacDonell) in the early stages, but a break in stride cost Dream On Dream On that cozy tracking spot behind splits of :29.3 and :59.3 before establishing second-over position behind Burn Em Up Burr (Gerard Kennedy).

Caught behind dull cover on the second circuit, Campbell angled Dream On Dream On three-wide, and the pair advanced to challenge Makes Me Stupid through three-quarters in 1:29.1 before emerging in front at head-stretch. Dream On Dream On kept Windmeredontmatter's late challenge 1-1/2 lengths at bay for a 1:58.1 score, while Makes Me Stupid faded to third.

Raymond MacKinnon trains Dream On Dream On, whose fourth win this season increased his career total to 21.
