Game Zac went gate-to-wire and opened up daylight on the field to take the featured $1,100 Winners Over Pace on Sunday afternoon at Inverness Raceway.

With trainer Alex MacNeill in the bike, Game Zac left from the inside post position and carved out fractions of :29.3, :59.1 and 1:28.3 en route to a 1:57.1 season's best triumph. The son of Expensive Scooter-Game Xoxa sprinted home in :28.3, opening up five and three-quarter lengths on the field. Cruisinart (Gary Delaney) and Colum Magic (Lewis MacDonell) rounded out the top three.

Gam Zac earned his third win in 11 seasonal starts and 16th lifetime pushing his bankroll to $65,212. Kevin Gillis of Windsor, Ont. owns the six-year-old gelding, who paid $9.30 to win as the 7-2 second choice.
