Logan Park Reigns Again At Mohawk

Logan Park has had a successful start to his six-year-old campaign, finishing no worse than second in his five starts so far. On Monday (July 1) evening, the Kyle Fellows trainee made his sixth start of the year a winning one in the $36,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Doug McNair sent Logan Park to the top from post six, achieved the lead and continued forward. On his gate-to-wire journey as the pacesetter, the millionaire trotter controlled the clock with times in :27.2, :56.3, and 1:25.3 before trotting to a one length victory in 1:52.2. Osceola (Trevor Henry) finished second and Gaines Hanover (Sylvain Filion) saved show.

Owned by Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo, the son of Archangel - Rite Outa The Park won his 28th career race from 70 starts and moved his lifetime sum to $1,160,190. Logan Park returned $2.60 as the bettors' choice.
