All Bets On Tex made every pole a winning one en route to victory in the $8,000 Walter Dale Memorial as part of the season opener at Connell Park in Woodstock, N.B. on Monday, July 1.
After winning in the race prior, Brett LeBlanc and Jeffrey Lilley teamed up once again to send a starter to the gate. This time, in the card finale and feature race, All Bets On Tex lined up in the rail position on the car with four starters at his side. LeBlanc pointed All Bets On Tex forward and cleared the lead. Without looking back, the Lilley student controlled the timer with splits in :27.2, :56.2, and 1:25.2. With his sights set on home, All Bets On Tex cleared the final panel in :30.1 to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:55.3. The Bird Dance N (Dan Deslandes) took second with Island Beach Boy (Brodie MacPhee) sprinting to nab the show spot.
All Bets On Tex (All Bets Off - Tampa Town) moved his seasonal record to 6-3-2 from 20 starts and his career record to 14-7-6 in 48 starts. Owned by Lilley, Kent Livingston, and Marc Gallant, the four-year-old gelding added to his lifetime sum to total $89,441.
Ashley MacDonald scored her first career training victory on Monday with Flip The Script ($7.40) in the fifth race on the card. Brodie MacPhee steered the American Ideal - Testing Center mare to a 3-1/2 length triumph in 1:56.

Horse Racing New Brunswick thanks all horsemen and women, fans, and its many volunteers behind the scenes who work so hard to make Connell Park a great place to come together.
