Adore Him, who was the 4-5 choice in the $8,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers, was a front-stepping winner in 1:53.3 for driver Scott Young and trainer Paul Taylor.
Thee seven-year-old son of Shadow Play-Respectednbeloved was second at the quarter pole before pushing to the lead. Adore Him cruised through middle panels of :56.2 and 1:25 before using a :28.3 closing quarter to win by 3-3/4 lengths over Mister X. Buckeroo was third.
Robert Blake of Clinton, Ont. owns the 29-time winner who now boasts a 4-3-1 record from 12 trips to the track this season. He’s banked just shy of $170,000 to date.
Mach And Roll Baby extended her winning streak to two-in-a-row thanks to her front-stepping triumph in the $8,500 Preferred 3 for filly and mare pacers.
Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, Mach And Roll Baby shot to the lead for driver Travis Cullen and successfully chopped out fractions of :27.3, :57.2 and 1:25.3 before using a :28 closing quarter to win by 2-1/2 lengths over Top Royal in 1:53.3. Taking home the show dough was Twenty Three Red.
Jodie Cullen trains the six-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Forever Holy for owners/breeders Jennifer Dodsworth and Randy Rutledge. The 12-time winner bumped her overall cash stash to $169,585 with the win.
