Hare Craft was dominant in a pair of Ohio Sire Stakes legs in the month of May, and those performances have earned the gelding the title of Ohio Horse of the Month

.

The sophomore son of Yankee Cruiser won the opening OSS leg at Lebanon Raceway in 1:56 and scored a 1:52.3 victory in the Memorial Day leg at Scioto Downs. Hare Craft’s only blemish was a neck defeat in the $20,000 James Hackett Memorial Pace at Lebanon.

Hare Craft was owned by Dustin Arledge and Frank Dettore Horse Racing. The gelding was conditioned by Jim Arledge, Jr. and driven by Dan Noble.

Hare Craft was recently sold to Steve Heimbecker of Waterloo, Ont. and will be trained by Ryan Maxwell, a 25-year-old resident of Rockwood, Ont.
