Doug Bowins.

Chinnys Wings followed 13-1 The Original (Dave Boughton) through fractions of :29, :58.2 and 1:27.3 before kicking home in :29.2 for the 4-1/4 length score in 1:57.2. The Original stayed for second and Its On My Tab (Mark MacDonald) finished third while favourite Casperdfrendlyhors (Scott Zeron) recovered from an early break to grab fourth.

Chinnys Wings paid $13.00 to win as the 5-1 fourth choice. Don Brinkman of East Coulee, AB also shares ownership of the five-year-old Armbro Ricochet gelding, who finished third and fourth in his two previous starts this year. The victory was Chinnys Wings’ 19th in just his second season on track and pushed his bankroll to $128,337.
