Carl Jamieson will line up behind the gate with fellow legends for this Sunday’s $15,000 Legends Day Trot. Driver Wally Hennessey is a late scratch due to travel issues, so he will be replaced by fellow Maritimer Carl Jamieson.

Jamieson recorded 1,372 wins as a driver and, as a trainer, he won 1,070 times and purses of more than $26 million. He trained and drove stars such as Breeders Crown winner Santanna Blue Chip, North America Cup champion Up The Credit, fastest two-year-old Ontario Sires Stakes performer Warrawee Needy, stakes winners Elegant Killean, Appleoosa Hanover and many more. He’s won Grand River’s Battle Of Waterloo an incredible five times.

Jamieson will join Doug Brown, Steve Condren, Trevor Ritchie, Ron Waples, Paul MacDonell and Randy Waples behind the gate for the $15,000 Legends Day Trot.

This year’s online auction is live at legendsdayauction.com. Fans can look forward to a fantastic day at the races on June 12 for Legends Day. There are exclusive Legends Day t-shirts for sale for $10, a 50/50 raffle, plus an autograph session with Legends from 2-3 p.m.
