Bonnys Mac paced the fastest mile on Sunday's harness racing card at Inverness Raceway as he won the top class for Travis and Angus MacLean.
The field was scratched down to just four starters in the $1,200 Winners Over Pace and they lined up in post position order when the wings of the gate closed. Schooner was the race leader until the stretch, where Bonnys Mac swept up from third and drew clear to post the 1:59 victory. Schooner settled for second with pocket-sitter J Bs Bolt following six lengths behind in third and Salute a distant fourth to round out the order of finish.
Don Beaton had a training triple, which included the 84th lifetime win of roan gelding Jacob while making his 12-year-old season's debut. Beaton was also victorious with sophomore gelding R Es Bobby and pacing mare Rosa Sharks. Rod Gillis drove all three winners.
