Veteran horseman Donnie Rankin, Jr. had a productive day at the office in Woodstock on Tuesday thanks to his three-win performance.

Rankin got the ball rolling with a come-from-behind score in the opener with Fashion Trix. The three-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover drew clear to win by more than a pair of lengths in 2:02 for owner Percy Elkins of Campbellville, ON.

Next up for Rankin was a front-stepping score with Our Cam Killean in Race 7. The four-year-old son of Camluck-Our Emblem parked past the quarter pole in :29.2 before making the lead and slicing out splits of :59.2 and 1:29.4 before coasting home in :30.1 for the 2:00 decision. Rankin shares ownership on the gelding with Percy Elkins.

Mesmerizer completed Rankin’s training and driving hat trick thanks to his 1:59.2 triumph in Race 12. The four-year-old Cams Card Shark gelding sat a pocket trip for most of the mile before charging to the lead and drawing away to win by 4-3/4 lengths for owner Percy Elkins.

Rankin has sent out 29 winners so far this season while banking in excess of $154,000. The career winner of 1,560 races has trained winners of more than $8.1 million in lifetime earnings.
