Pans O Silver Prevails; White Breaks Maiden

Pans O Silver and driver Brodie MacPhee took command past the opening quarter and raced home to win the Tuesday night feature in 1:56.4 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park

.

The Alex MacPhee-owned and trained sons of Pans To Reason held off B J Cruiser and St Pete Star to secure the win. It was Pans O Silver’s third win of the season and the 45th of his career.

Dusty Lane Shelby, with Corey MacPherson in the bike, made a deep stretch surge to capture the Open Trot over Flashy Image and Saulsbrook Balance. The eight-year-old daughter of Imperial Angus stopped the timer in 2:01.1 for owner Jaime Lynne Tierney of Cornwall, PE.

It was a memorable night for Kuri White. The young driver posted his first lifetime win aboard Tougher Than Tough in the evening’s 10th race. White shares ownership of the four-year-old gelding with Emily MacPhee of Charlottetown.

Racing returns Wednesday night at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway. Post time is 7 p.m. The action shifts back to Charlottetown on Thursday and Saturday featuring the Maritime Breeders Eliminations on the weekend. Post time is 7p.m.
