After missing the board in her last two assignments, Elm Grove Maddy turned a two-hole trip into a 1:58.3 triumph in Friday’s feature race at Truro Raceway.
Dale Spence mapped out the two-hole ride for Elm Grove Maddy, who tracked Stature Seelster through fractions of :29.2, 1:00.2 and 1:28.4 before letting that foe have it in the lane. Elm Grove Maddy sprinted home in :29 to win by three-quarters of a length over Global Seelster. Catch Twenty Two was third.
Nicholas White trains the four-year-old daughter of Stonebridge Terror-Elm Grove Dallas for owner Sarah Bruce of Truro, NS. The mare now owns a 5-for-8 record this season. The 10-time winner has banked over $25,000 to date.
