Meadowlands Racetrack will host the third annual Sportscasters Charity Derby — two harness races to benefit each participating sportscasters’ selected charitable organizations — on Friday, June 17.
There will be two charity races with four sportscasters participating in each race. Meadowlands Racetrack will donate $5,000 to each of the two winning sportscasters’ selected charities and will also make a $1,000 donation to each charity selected by each sportscaster.
The participating sportscasters and their selected charities are listed below:
- Quincy Enunwa/Former WR, NY Jets – MDA
- Wally Szcerbiak/MSG Network – Croatian Charitable Foundation

- Brandon Tierney/WFAN – St. Jude Children’s Research Foundation

“We are very excited to be hosting the Sportscasters Charity Derby," said Jeff Gural, Chairman & CEO of the Meadowlands Racetrack. "We are equally excited that so many of the top sportscasters who live in the NY-NJ Metro area will be participating in this fun and exciting event. It will raise funds for many important charitable organizations and harness racing fans will have a great time handicapping and analyzing the sportscasters’ respective talents to drive a racehorse.”
Brandon Tierney of WFAN’s “Tiki & Tierney” is returning to defend his crown after winning his race in the 2019 Sportscasters Derby. Marc Malusis of PIX11 won the inaugural Sportscaster Derby in 2012.
