For the third consecutive week, Turn The Page N put the swoop to the group in the $34,722 Open Handicap Pace for fillies and mares at Plainridge Park and remained undefeated in Massachusetts in 2026.

Driver/co-owner Ron Cushing took Turn The Page N off the gate from the outside post five in the Friday, June 5 edition and sat last as Intothemysticmoon (Bruce Ranger) rambled on the point to the quarter in :26.3. But that lead was soon surrendered to Joansrisingstar N (Kevin Switzer Jr.), who took control before the :54.2 half. At that same station, Cushing tipped Turn The Page N to the outside and started advancing towards the leader as they rolled up the backside.

Joansrisingstar N continued to lead by a length at three-quarters in 1:22.1, but Turn The Page N continued to advance and as they made their way through the turn and drew even with her. When the girls straightened for home, Turn The Page N pushed ahead by a length and held that advantage over Joansrisingstar N and a fast-closing Swedish Starlet N (Matty Athearn) to win in 1:50.1, tying her season’s best effort.

The victory was the sixth in 13 starts overall this year for the heavily-backed Turn The Page N, who paid $3.80 to win. Heidi Cushing trains the seven-year-old Vincent-Sheza Monkee mare, also co-owned by Kevin Sywyk of Swartz Creek, Michigan.

Kevin Switzer Jr. had a natural hat trick in races six, seven and eight to lead all reinsmen on Friday.

Racing resumes at Plainridge Park on Monday, June 8 at 4 p.m. and there will be a $39,168 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta wager in the sixth race.
